The Investment Professionals Web site, www.wellsfargo.com/advantagefunds, received this recognition as part of kasina's recent white paper study, "2006 Top 10 Web Sites for Financial Intermediaries."
kasina, LLC, a leading management consulting firm to the financial industry, publishes an annual examination of U.S. intermediary Web sites, selecting the industry's top 10 sites and highlighting their current best practices. This year, kasina chose to highlight the Web site's PodPacks feature, an innovation to the Web site's Podcast Center.
Launched in February 2006, the PodPack feature packages the standard podcast audio file of portfolio manager commentary with supplemental information in the form of fund fact sheets, prospectuses, and other materials. In addition, the application offers a one-time sign-up process, enabling financial advisors to automatically receive the latest insights into portfolio managers' investment strategies and thoughts on the markets.
"We were the first mutual fund firm to offer PodPacks, and we feel honored to be recognized for developing a tool that resonates well with the investment advisory community," said Brian Melter, vice president of E-Business for Wells Fargo Funds Management. "As we enter 2007, we are excited about creating and offering our advisory clients innovative and value-added tools to help them build their business and better serve their clients."
In addition to this recognition from kasina, the Wells Fargo Advantage Funds Web site was recently honored with nine STAR Awards from the Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA), including an award for the PodPack feature and an award for Best Overall Communications by a Large Company. The MFEA's annual STAR Awards recognize mutual fund companies for outstanding investor communications, education, and support.
